Looking for a Russian Manicure in Cincinnati?
A Russian Manicure - which is also known as an electric file manicure (e-file) - is a technique that involves using an electric file with various drill bits to meticulously clean and shape the cuticles and nail plate.
It creates an ultra-precise, clean, and polished look. This leaves you with a crisp clean edge around the nail. The file is used to lightly buff and smooth the nail plate which allows for a smooth adhesion of gel polish.
The cuticle is cleaned so well with the electric file that we can apply the polish super close to the skin and you will get a longer lasting manicure.

There are some people who can go 2 months between appointments with no lifting or breakage.
How long does the Russian Manicure service take to complete?
You can expect to be with us for about 2 hours for a Russian Manicure. Keep in mind this time can go up if you decide to receive any sort of nail art.
The time it takes to perform this service takes longer because of the attention to detail that is involved.
What is the difference between a Russian Manicure and a regular gel manicure?
A Russian Manicure will last 3-6 weeks versus a regular gel manicure lasting 2-3 weeks.
The technique used for Russian Manicure is more time consuming due to the precision used which makes it more expensive with longer lasting effects.
A regular gel manicure uses basic cuticle clippers or pushers and manual filing of the nail and a russian manicure uses an e-file to provide a more clean and precise cleaning of the cuticle and nail plate.
During a russian manicure the gel polish can be applied much closer to the skin resulting in it looking and staying fresher for longer.
Does the nail technician need to be certified in Russian Manicure?
You will want to be sure that the nail tech you are seeing has received the extra training outside of school for the particular service.
There are many risks involved if the person is not properly trained. These risks include nail plate damage, aggressive cuticle removal, and infection.
